Engineer Solutions With Zinc
The LifeAnode™ system is an engineered galvanic “discrete” or “point” anode designed for patch repairs for damaged concrete due to chloride induced corrosion. The sacrificial anode system consists of anode grade zinc encased in a specially formulated conductive mortar, designed to maintain anode activity without excessive self-corrosion.
The LifeAnode™ system was developed to avoid “halo-” or “ring-effect” corrosion damage, typically encountered with patch repairs in concrete exposed to chlorides from seawater or deicing salts, thereby extending the life of the patch repair. High performance is achieved from the LifeAnode™’s industry leading zinc purity levels, higher zinc surface area (3-5 times higher than competing anodes) while operating at the same pH as the surrounding concrete.
